The TS-1 IRONCLAD scans the hard drive serial number, erases the hard drive, captures an image of the degaussed hard drive, records the operator’s ID, and documents the erasure status of the degaussed hard drive. This essential information is then preserved in an IRONCLAD erasure verification report creating a complete proof-of-erasure file.

The TS-1 has two Tesla of power and erases the highest coercivity magnetic media available today--5000 Oe hard disk drives (laptop, desktop, and network up to 1.25" high) and all magnetic tape cartridges up to 2800 Oe--including all formats of LTO (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5), SuperDLT I & II, AIT, and the 9940 and 3590 series, without requiring any additional adapters. With a continuous duty rating (no cooling breaks necessary), quiet operation and a 45 second cycle time, the TS-1 offers a fast, cost effective, reliable solution.

The TS-1 is exceptionally user-friendly. It never overheats! Simply place media in the drawer of the TS-1 and push the "Erase" button. Within 45 seconds the media is quietly erased to government specification, no hearing protection needed! Open the drawer and remove the erased media. It just doesn't get any easier than that!

Safeguards

The TS-1 NSA Evaluated Hard Drive & Tape Degausser employs built-in unique safeguards to check the stored power before each erasure cycle, guaranteeing complete erasure every time. In addition, a proprietary gauss sensor measures the gauss at the coil at the exact time of discharge. If the power or the gauss rating are less than required specifications, the TS-1 will report any error message to the operator and not complete the cycle until the unit meets both power and gauss requirements. Messages are displayed on the LCD Display and lighted push buttons report the status of the TS-1 to the operator. You never have to check the power stability again.

Easy To Use, Transport, and Deploy

The TS-1 eliminates the risk of information loss during media transportation to the degaussing location. Take the degausser directly to the location of the media to be erased. The TS-1 incorporates two custom-machined retractable alloy handles built into each side of the machine for easy movement. An optional shipping and deployment case with custom-designed wheels is available to provide easy mobility for the TS-1 Degausser to move from job to job safely and securely throughout the world.

Handles A Variety of Media Formats

The TS-1 Degausser will erase all hard drive and tape formats, including hard disk drives up to 5,000 Oe (laptop, desktop, and network up to one inch high), and all tape cartridge media up to 2800 Oe (LTO 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, SuperDLT I & II, AIT, 3590 series, and all other extremely high oersted media. No special adapters are ever required.

Government Mandate Compliance

The TS-1 NSA Evaluated Hard Drive & Tape Degausser exceeds data destruction requirements specified in NSA/CSS specifications and in legislative mandates (PCI DSS, NIST, HIPAA, GLBA, PIPEDA, etc.) by destroying data on hard disk drives and magnetic tape cartridges. This new degausser has received NSA evaluation and complies with DoD requirements for destroying classified information on magnetic media. The TS-1 Degausser meets compliance standards for the following government mandates that require complete elimination of sensitive information stored on magnetic media prior to re-use or disposal:

Media Erased

• Hard disk drives up to 5,000 Oe (laptop, desktop, and network up to one inch high), and tape media up to 2800 Oe (LTO 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, SuperDLT I & II, AIT, 3590 series, and all other extremely high oersted media.

* Please note that hard disk drives, 3570, 3570-B, 3570-C, 3570-C/XL, ADR30, ADR50, ADR120, AIT-1(S), AIT-5, DISK ZIP 100MB, DISK ZIP 250 MB, SLR, TR-4, TR-5, TR-7, 3590, 3590-E, 3590-H, 3592, LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3, LTO-4, LTO-5, 9840, 9940, and T-10000 cannot be reused after degaussing. We do offer erasers which will erase both kinds of media and permit them to be reused.
