The Model AML-6KG Magnetic Media Degaussing Paddle safely and effectively erases a wide range of hard disk magnetic media. It can be used to degauss magnetic storage drums, hard disk drives, 14" disk packs, multi-platter disk packs, flexible disks, bubble memory chips, magnetic media ribbon, and any other flat surface magnetic memory.

For DOD-approved hard drive erasure, the top plate must be first removed from the disk drive casing. Once the hard drive platter has been sanitized by the AML-6KG, it is not reusable and must be discarded. It cannot be returned to the manufacturer for reuse. The hard drive destruction includes all manufacturers and all types of magnetic storage technology, regardless of the year of drive manufacture.

This degaussing wand is certified by the National Security Agency and the Department of Defense. It is listed on the Degausser Evaluated Products Listing provided by NSA. It is a multi-polar design, which insures minimum flux levels of 6,000 (minimum) to 12,000 (maximum) gauss, as well as full hysteresis of all magnetic states. It requires no external power source and is fully deployable. It is made in the United States of America.
