The Proton 1250A™ Automatic Optical Media Declassification System is ideal for users who require complete declassification of optical media, including writable and rewritable CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. This unit works to Department of Defense security requirements for the destruction of classified information on optical media.

High Pressure Indentation
The Proton 1250A™ Automatic Optical Media Declassification System completely destroys CD, DVD and Blu-Ray optical media with high pressure indentation that destroys the optical plane and renders it unrecoverable. The micro indentation penetrates the data-bearing surface layers of the optical media, thus destroying the focal plane and all readable data. The data is thus rendered unrecoverable.

Fully Automatic Operation
This newly redesigned declassifier features an automatic feeder that holds 200 CD, DVD or Blu-Ray disks and processes up to 1000 discs per hour, with the label facing in either direction. The unit has a delay circuit that allows the disintegrator to run 5 minutes after the front panel power switch is turned "off," thereby insuring that the disintegrator clears all debris prior to shutdown. In addition, the large 3.8 cubic foot waste collection bin is key-lock secured.

The Proton 1250 series is on the NSA Evaluated Products List and meets all NIST and DoD guidelines for electronic data disposal.
